Fantasy Basketball Pick: Moritz Wagner's value rises after Carter injury

Moritz Wagner is expected to play an increasingly important role for the Orlando Magic due to Wendell Carter Jr.'s broken metacarpal in his left hand. Wagner is currently ranked in just 8 percent of Yahoo leagues, but he came off the bench for 19 minutes in Thursday's game and had 10 points and two caps. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on Wagner as he could be a valuable waiver wire pickup if Carter misses significant time.

Other players to keep an eye on

Dyson Daniels (2%): In 25 minutes off the bench for the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday, Daniels had 10 points, seven rebounds, six assists, one steal and two 3-pointers. He's been in the rotation all season and could play a bigger role if Zion Williamson and Trey Murphy are out.
Marcus Shocker (2%): Shocker has been improving with the Detroit Pistons. In 23 minutes against the Pelicans on Thursday, he had 19 points, two rebounds, three assists, one steal and five 3-pointers. His value may depend on the health of Alec Burks, but he's still worth a look in deeper leagues if Burks misses time.
Lonnie Walker IV (15%): The Brooklyn Nets have an intense injury report, with back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday. Nick Claxton, Cameron Johnson, Spencer Dinwiddie and Dennis Smith Jr. are all listed as questionable, and if any of them are forced to sit out, Walker's role could increase. He's averaging nearly 17 points per game over his last three contests.
Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on these players and adjust their rosters as needed.
